Sedation Dentistry
Sedation Dentistry
Nervous about undergoing dental treatment? You can relax; we offer the simplest method yet for sedation. Dr. Hackman can provide limited conscious sedation with various oral medications. This has become a safe and routine method used in our office. General anesthesia is even available with a certified anesthesiologist for patients wanting to be totally asleep. However, we have found that this is only necessary in extreme cases. You don’t have to put it off any longer; wake up to a new, beautiful smile!

At All Family Dental Care we are proud to offer a variety of sedation dentistry options to help make your dental visit as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Sedation dentistry, sometimes referred to as sleep dentistry, is the practice of using a combination of medications and techniques to reduce anxiety and stress during dental procedures. Depending on your individual preferences, we offer both mild forms of sedation, such as nitrous oxide, oral sedation and IV sedation. We understand that going to the dentist can be a stressful experience for many people; by providing you with the option of undergoing sedation during your appointment, we hope to make your entire visit more enjoyable and comfortable.
Nitrous oxide is a mild form of sedation that is administered through a small mask placed over the nose. The gas reduces anxiety and fear and can help make your dental appointment more pleasant and relaxed. Oral sedation medications are also available for those who prefer this option, and IV sedation provides the deepest level of relaxation. No matter what type of sedation you choose, our experienced team will be there to ensure that your entire visit is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
Discovering the Benefits of Sedation Dentistry: An Overview of Your Options
If you are living with fear and anxiety related to dental care, sedation dentistry may be the answer. Many of our patients find that their appointments become much more pleasant when they choose this option. In addition to providing relief from fear and anxiety, sedation dentistry can also make it easier for those with sensitive gag reflexes or difficulty staying still for a long period of time during a procedure.
At All Family Dental Care, you have the option of selecting from several different types of sedation dentistry: nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and IV sedation. Our team will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about these options and help you decide which one is right for your individual needs.
Choosing the Right Sedation Option For You
Before undergoing any type of sedation dentistry, it is important to discuss your options with our team of experienced professionals. We will work closely with you to determine which option is best suited to your individual needs and preferences. Nitrous oxide is typically recommended for patients with mild levels of anxiety, while oral sedation is usually the preferred choice for those who experience higher levels of fear or stress. IV sedation is most often suggested for those who require a deeper level of relaxation due to a severe gag reflex, sensitive teeth, or other factors.
No matter which form of sedation dentistry you choose, we are committed to providing you with the highest quality care and ensuring that your entire visit is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
