How Much Do Dental Implants Cost inNorthridge, CA?

dental implant costs in Northridge

What Affects the Price?

If you’re missing a tooth, you’ve probably wondered what it would cost to replace it and whether dental implants are the right choice for you. The tricky part is that there isn’t one price that applies to everyone. The cost depends on how many teeth need replacing, the type of restoration involved, the condition of your gums and
jawbone, and whether you need any additional treatment.

When comparing prices, it’s also important to understand exactly what’s included. An estimate for the implant itself may not cover every step needed to complete your new tooth.

At All Family Dental Care in Northridge, Dr. Frank Hackman can help patients understand their dental needs and discuss appropriate treatment options. If you’re considering implants, here are a few things worth knowing before scheduling a consultation.

What determines the cost of dental implants?

Two people can both need a replacement tooth and receive very different treatment estimates. That’s because the details matter. Here are four things that can affect the overall cost. Here are four things that can affect the overall cost.

1. How many teeth need replacing?

Replacing one missing tooth is different from replacing several teeth. A single-tooth implant may support one crown. Someone missing several teeth might be a candidate for an implant-supported bridge or another type of restoration. The number of replacement teeth doesn’t necessarily determine the number of implants required. That depends on your oral health, jawbone, and treatment plan. The best starting point is an examination to determine what your particular situation requires.

2. Does the price include the complete replacement tooth?

This is one of the most important questions to ask when comparing estimates. Dental implant treatment can involve several components:

The crown or restoration: The visible replacement tooth or teeth.
The abutment: A connector used in many implant restorations.
The fixture: A post placed in the jawbone to support the replacement tooth.
Structure of Dental Implant

Some estimates include these components together. Others list them separately. Before comparing prices from different offices, ask whether the estimate covers the complete treatment or only part of it. Otherwise, a lower initial price may not reflect the total amount you’ll pay. You can learn more about the treatment process through the American Dental Association’s patient resource on dental implants.

3. Will you need additional dental work?

Some patients can proceed with implant treatment after an appropriate evaluation. Others may need additional care first.
Depending on your circumstances, this could include an extraction, treatment for gum disease, or bone grafting. Not everyone needs these procedures, but when they are necessary, they can affect both the cost and the timeline. This is why it’s worth asking for an individualized treatment plan rather than relying on a general
price advertised online.

4. What type of replacement is right for you?

Dental implants are one way to replace missing teeth, but they aren’t the only option. Depending on your needs, your dentist may discuss:

  • A single implant and crown.
  • An implant-supported bridge.
  • An implant-supported denture.
  • A traditional bridge or removable denture.

Each option has different considerations, costs, and maintenance requirements. The right decision isn’t necessarily the least expensive option or the most expensive one. It’s the option that makes sense for your oral health, goals, and budget.

Let’s Discuss Your Dental Implant Details

Call Dr. Frank Hackman today and set up an appointment to discuss your options, costs, procedures and plan.

    Does dental insurance cover implants?

    It depends on your plan.

Some dental insurance policies may provide benefits for certain parts of implant treatment, while others have exclusions or limitations. Coverage can also vary depending on the procedure being performed.

Before committing to treatment, ask the dental office to help you understand the estimated charges and available insurance information. Then confirm your benefits directly with your insurance provider.

A few useful questions to ask are:

    • Does my plan cover any part of the implant or crown?
    • Would any preliminary procedures be covered?
    • Are there waiting periods or annual maximums?
    • How much might I need to pay out of pocket?

It’s better to understand the likely expenses before treatment begins than to be surprised by a bill later.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hackman for almost 20 years! Time really does fly. He has seen my entire family, through pregnancies (which was hard on my teeth), we have been cash and insurance patients. He has always provided the best service for us. My kids are teenagers now and he has taken care of their cleanings, procedures and I am grateful that they have only had positive dental experiences. I have had complicated dental issues and it wasn’t until Dr. Hackman took over my care that I feel like I am in great hands.

Frank Hackman is by far the best dentist I have ever had. As someone who had childhood dental trauma that still has me nervous every time I go into a dentist. I've been to 2 other dentsists in the last 20 years. One was very disorganized and seemed uncomfortable doing the work. The last one I thought was the "pro" but for insurance reasons I came to All Family Dental. Well after 4 years of cleanings, and one cracked tooth repair, I recently had to have crown re-done by dentist number 2 "the pro" and was amazed at how Dr. Hackman was fast, efficient, and extremely competent. The original dentist that put in this crown left cement on my teeth, it did not fit well, and did not take post x-rays to check the fit. The fitting with Hackman required very little teeth grinding adjustments. It's like the crown was made just for my mouth! His staff also works well with my insurance. 5 stars! Thanks you All Family Dental Care.

As time flys by, noticed that I haven't been to the dentist in quite some time( years). Recommended by a friend who suggested this clinic and after an initial consultation is when Dr H. performed the needed dental work that was necessary….4 crowns, a filling, a cleaning, and a root canal. I must say Doctor Hackman and staff exceeded my expectations in that they are caring, efficient, and give that "extra mile" type of care. Truly unexpected! If you are on a budget, like myself, having a teenage son, daughter who's going to college( many expenses) then you need to see Dr. H. He's a good hearted dentist(rare),in that he explains dental procedures one on one with patience and kindness ,he also works with his patients to provide dental care that's fair and affordable to different financial situations. 2 thumbs up to this office/staff.

Great dentist and staff especially Gaby at the front desk makes it very welcoming. He's very gentle with child patients. My daughter is always put in a hugging blanket but the first time here was perfect. She felt very comfortable with Dr Hackman she barely felt anything and she got teeth pulled out…. She's 7. Definitely recommend this dentist. They're very honest with their work and will even recommend other dentists if needed. Loved it here.
    Dental implant budget

What if the cost doesn’t fit your budget?

If the initial estimate seems higher than expected, don’t assume you have to make a decision immediately. Ask the dental office to explain the treatment plan, identify the costs involved, and discuss whether other clinically appropriate options are available.

All Family Dental Care offers assistance with financing options. Contact the office to confirm current availability and eligibility requirements.

If you consider financing, review the interest rate, fees, promotional terms, and repayment schedule carefully. A monthly payment may look manageable, but you should understand the total cost before agreeing to the terms.

What should you ask before choosing dental implants?

You don’t need to know all the technical details before a consultation. You do, however, want to leave with a clear understanding of the proposed treatment. Here are five questions worth bringing with you:

    1. Will I need any additional procedures?
Ask whether an extraction, bone graft, or other treatment may affect the total.
    2. What exactly is included in my estimate?
Find out whether the implant, abutment, final crown, and necessary appointments are included.
    3. What are my alternatives?
Find out whether a bridge, denture, or another approach may be appropriate.
    4. How long will treatment take?
Ask about the expected timeline, healing, and follow-up appointments.
    5. What payment options are available?
Discuss estimated out-of-pocket costs and anyfinancing terms.

A good treatment discussion should leave you feeling informed—not pressured to make a decision before you’re ready.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Coverage varies by policy. Your insurance provider can explain which services may qualify for
    benefits and what limitations apply.

Neither option is automatically best for everyone. The appropriate choice depends on your oral
health, the condition of nearby teeth, your goals, and the proposed treatment plan.

Financing may be available, depending on the practice and provider. Ask about eligibility,
interest, fees, and repayment terms before signing an agreement.

The price depends on the treatment required and what the estimate includes. An examination and individualized treatment plan are the best ways to understand your likely cost.

The proposed treatment, restoration type, additional procedures, and services included in the estimate can all affect the price. Compare itemized estimates rather than looking at the advertised starting price alone.

Not always. Some estimates include the implant and final restoration, while others list them separately. Ask the office to explain the full cost of completing treatment.
